Bladud Flies! third entry in its Abhorrent Juxebox 7” series, ‘The Skies Above’ is a beatific and evocative seven minute long piece by Ryan Harris. Inspired by Brian Eno, Jean Michel Jarre and other forebearers of the ambient scene, Harris - a 34-year old Texas native now living in Florida - delivers a modern perspective that wouldn’t sound amiss alongside artists on labels such as Kranky and Touch.

Divided into two separate movements, lush synthesized strings ebb and flow against shimmering arpeggio chimes and the periodic, momentous hammer of a bass drum that sounds as if it’s punctuating the passage of time itself. Heady and uplifting, this is music that continues in the mind long after the last note has faded.

Abhorrent Jukebox is a curated short-run 7" lathe cut series that is contrary to any genre. Selections are made from demo's sent to us or from what we discover during our daily lives. Each volume is limited to 30 numbered copies, cut by Michael Lawrence at Last Offices and housed in a screen-printed jacket designed by Lauren Winton and printed at Heavyrock Screenprint.

Only 15 copies will be sold via BF! The remaining 15 copies are given to the artist involved.

The lathe cut vinyl is a durable polycarbonate material where the audio quality and durability closely resembles pressed vinyl. They are not to be confused with a dubplate/acetate/lacquer.

Each lathe is 100% handmade and cut in real-time. This is a highly skilled and time-consuming process. They are playable artefacts.

PLEASE READ!! IMPORTANT POSTAGE INFORMATION

Our lathe editions are ultra-limited due to the fact that each copy is 100% handmade and cut in real-time. With regret BF! are unable to replace records if lost/damaged in the post (we will of course offer a full refund).

Also, due to limitations with Bandcamp, we are not able to offer customers a choice with postage (standard, tracked/signed, etc.).

With these things in mind what we have decided to do is charge postage at the rate for fully Tracked/Signed delivery. This is expensive!!! But, if you would prefer the cheaper standard delivery, please notify us when ordering (via Bandcamp, Paypal or email) and we will refund you the difference in postage immediately.

To give you an idea of the difference in cost:

EU: Standard = £3.70 | Tracked/Signed = £8.66
World Zone 1 (US, etc.): Standard = £4.75 | Tracked/Signed = £9.65
World Zone 2 (Aus, etc.): Standard = £5.05 | Tracked/Signed = £9.95

UK customers, you have more options:
1st Class: £1.26
1st Class Signed for: £2.36
2nd Class: £1.19
2nd Class Signed for: £2.29
Special Delivery: £7.25

We of course recommend that you go for the expensive guaranteed delivery option to avoid disappointment.
